The Golden Tiki Tattoo Parlour returns.

THEY HAVE RETURNED!
The problem, for me, is that this particular tattoo parlour is within walking distance
of my house and that makes a visit there too easy.
Thank goodness for a (within reason) understanding wife...

After this was completed ( it took 3 sessions of about an hour each) I knew that I would return for more work...this piece has been admired by all those who have seen it.
The original was the faded "hook" in the centre, which was done while I was in Auckland, NZ.
You cannot visit New Zealand and NOT get a tattoo done.
All the surrounding work was done by Busta.

Once again a three part work.
The top was from and HSBC banking print advert.
I had no idea what it meant, but I liked the design.
Years after I got it done, I was told that it meant "hot",
as in powerful...and that made sense for a banking advert.
The turtle was next...this was in order to move ahead you have to stick your neck out!
And finally,  I added the line"Leap and the net will appear"
my favourite line from a book called "The artists way" by Julia Cameron.
I chose to do the line in Sanskrit as I liked the way that it finished off this work.

The only colour piece that Busta has done for me.
This took 6 hours over two sessions and as he uses superior ink,'
the colour has not faded much over the past couple of years since it was completed.

This is the piece that attracts the most attention.
It represents to of my passions, broadcasting and writing.
If I could have incorporated a camera, I would have.
But that would have spoiled the lines.

This is my most recent...done in 2016.
It represents a Phoenix...the symbol of re-birth, regeneration and reinvention.
And I tend to do that...
If I get tired/bored/ uninspired by what I am doing,
I look for other avenues that will offer me excitement and creativity again!
