Paputzis...a hidden gem

This façade hides one of the best kept secrets in Johannesburg...
A covered stoep with a heater for winter is a great place to enjoy food from their extensive menu.
Summer and winter, the back garden is wonderful for enjoying good food and company.
This is a working fireplace in the main lounge...
Although there is a play area for the children, they seem to enjoy climbing in the trees.
The chickens are NOT for eating...and they do not get to cross the road.
Heaters to keep the patrons warm in winter.
Look closely and you will see blankets on the chairs...
The daily specials
It is worth phoning to book if you have a large party.
Some of the baubles that are on sale...
The front of the restaurant is a veritable magpies nest for shoppers who enjoy the eclectic rather than traditional gifts

There is a whole corner dedicated to shelves of cuddly plush toys
YES PLEASE!
If only I could fit this into my laptop bag...
Occasionally they have live entertainment.
More sparkly trinkets to attract shoppers...
