The quiz was already into Round 1 by the time that I arrived.
As it was a VERY warm evening, most of the participants chose to sit on the pavement.
I was not here as a contestant, I was here to observe...and have something to eat.
My dinner...La Parrilla.
Mine was served with marinated beef strips,
although diners have a choice of either pork, chicken or vegetarian.
This smiling face belongs to Chef Lucio.
He came out from his kitchen to interact with the teams and the diners.
QUIZ NIGHT...
Let the games begin...
The questions get harder as the rounds progressed.
I thought that I had a good general knowledge, but I was caught out by several questions.
The lighting makes for a relaxed and welcoming environment.
And some of the décor is really quirky
Eyes down and looking...wait, that is BINGO...
The quiz was conducted in relative quiet,
with not too much vocalization from the teams.
Quiz Master Jazz.
He was able to raise a "WHOOP WHOOP" when required.
And the prize for the winning team?
A round of shooters...
It seemed to be an Elvis themed evening,
with many of the questions pertaining to "The King"...
or as he was know at the beginning of his career...
"Elvis the Pelvis".
In fact, in his early performances on TV,
he was only shown from the waist up as his gyrations
were seen as unacceptable for viewers!
"Let me repeat Question 3"...
Although all of the participants on this particular evening were in teams,
Jazz told me that individual players are welcome.
