Depending on her mood, Mika will either welcome you
with a bark or a wagging tail.
In my case she seems to be confused as she often welcomes me with both.
Orejen is not just a shop...
It is a relaxing space where people can interact with each other
and admire the all of the quirky items on display.
AND EVERYTHING is for sale!
Have you ever seen a padlock like this before?
The front of the shop.
Owner, Jennifer, changes this display constantly.
A treasure trove of items for your home...or business premises.
New screws are easy to find...any hardware store stocks them by the packetful.
But old rusty ones...
ONLY at Orejen
You can ring my bell...
There are handles of all description on sale.
There are beautiful doors with hand crafted stained glass inserts.
That being said, there are also plain doors.
All the doors are either refurbished or made from reclaimed wood.
No new trees were destroyed to make any of the furniture on display
You might have to fight with the owner for this one-off piece.
Giraffe are her favourite animals
A scratch patch of handles to browse through...
Handles galore...
You do need to spend some time here.
Orejen is not for those who want to rush through.
It is here for those who wish to take their time and browse slowly.
This copper-ware was discovered in the roof space where it had been for 15 years!
Even the perimeter wall is used for display purposes.
And everything has a price tag.
This tree, a Wit stinkhout, was planted 17 years ago when the shop was first opened.
5th Steet has to be closed to traffic as it was off loaded and put in place by a crane.
Turkish towels that will change your bathroom experience.
The pig at the entrance is actually a garden seat!
Still time to purchase that special gift...
Goats milk soap is currently a "thing".
My favourite space in the shop
and the one that changes the most regularly.
More light fittings and sinks for both bathrooms and kitchens.
Remember these mixing bowls from back-in-the-day?
Well they are back...and not only in the original beige colour.
Now they come in a range of colours that will fit any kitchen décor.

GammaTek is my powerbank supplier of choice.
One of my problems is often lack of battery power
if I have been using the camera on my phone.
I have tried many "powerbanks",
but the majority drain before they can fully recharge my device.
This is where this Powerbank has the edge...
it can recharge my phone up to 7 times,
before it needs to be recharged.
